THERE’S NO BETTER TIME FOR A HOME THEATER INSTALLATION

THERE’S NO BETTER TIME FOR A HOME THEATER INSTALLATION

Movie Theaters Might Not Be Back To Normal — But You Can Still Bring The Theater To You

Although movie theaters in the Chesapeake area are slowly starting to reopen, many have social distancing requirements and limited capacity for each showing. If you feel like it’s too soon to go to the movies safely, or you just feel like having a cinematic experience in the comfort of your own home, we have good news for you. With the right home theater installation checklist and home installer, you can have an epic home theater that you and your family can enjoy all year round and for years to come.

Here’s what to include in your home theater installation for your household in the Chesapeake, VA, area.

CLEAR DISPLAY

Commercial theaters have projector and screens to show films, and you can have the same setup in your own home theater. This combination allows you to project light from a distance and have a larger picture than what you’d get with a TV. We recommend installing a 4K projector and ambient light rejecting screen to ensure next-level image clarity and sharpness.

IMMERSIVE SOUND

One of the main reasons that so many people love going to the movies is the visual and auditory experience. Commercial theaters have surround sound systems for moviegoers, which provide sound from multiple directions. With surround sound, you can hear noise in front of you, around your sides, behind you, and above you. You can achieve this effect in your home theater as well with the correct speakers, AV receiver, and speaker placement.

AMBIENT LIGHTING

When you’ve gone to the theater in the past, you may not have noticed the lighting. However, it’s an important element in commercial theaters and for your future home theater. You don’t want your theater room to be completely dark. We suggest installing dimmable lights — ones that produce a soft glow and don’t reflect on your screen. Commercial theaters also have accent lighting, which you can also incorporate into your home theater design. Wall sconces or LED light strips can add subtle lighting while also creating a cinematic ambiance.
