Let’s Look Back at 2018’s C4 Yourself Events!

As your Virginia Beach, VA Control4 installer, WSC Audio Video likes to keep up with all the latest happenings with our choice automation company, Control4. We were excited to experience C4Yourself Day twice this year. 

In 2018, events occurred in May and more recently in October: these events are scattered across various Control4 showrooms throughout the country. Though Control4 wrapped up the last C4 Yourself event in October, we hope you visit one of the Coastal Virginia happenings in 2019.

New Showrooms

“On C4Yourself days, Control4 dealers invite both current Control4 homeowners and those curious about home technology to try out the latest features we’ve added to our smart home experience,” as Control4 CEO and Chairman Martin Plaehn explains. “We’re proud to have added new Control4 Certified Showrooms around the world in the last few months, and welcome homeowners to a nearby location to experience how Control4 can complement their lifestyle and home.”

Agendas may vary by location, but a common theme ties these C4 Yourself events together: the four-hour lineups revolve around spectacular showrooms that show off lighting, audio and video automation in real-life home scenarios. Each showroom highlights never-before-seen Control4 capabilities; dealers, integrators, home builders, homeowners and curious tech lovers show up to marvel at the top quality, professionally installed technology. 

Additionally, the event featured business ribbon cuttings, local food and music and more, and some of the coveted door prizes included Control4 starter kits and gadgets.  Engaged social media users took pictures of their sightings at the events, tagging them #C4Yourself.

The October event emphasized the flexibility of Control4 services and the growing influence of customers when creating their dream smart homes -- whether it was through retrofitting or construction -- demonstrating their Intercom Anywhere and When >> Then Automation releases this year. 

Back in May, Control4 held a #C4Yourself event, where they showcased various offerings to their product lineup. The October event featured some fresh surprises, including the Intercom Anywhere technology, a security system that lets you see and hear who’s coming from your door through your cell phone. We also saw the new When >> Then Automation platform, which gives homeowners many more personalization options for playlists, lighting scenes and much more.

You don’t have to wait for a C4 Yourself event to witness the wonder of home automation. Take a look at some of our previous home automation projects or find one of our showrooms nationwide. If you missed the events next year and want to join in 2019, on June 1, Control4 will feature an automated Control4 Airstream and more tech surprises, as well as food, drink and music.
